MJ TURNS 2!

This little girl turned 2!  A few things about Mazie Jocelyn:

-She adores her siblings and follows them everywhere

-She wants to be included in everything (like all 2 year olds)

-She's very girly.  She loves getting her nails painted and having makeup on.

-She's tough too.  She's right in the mix when all the kids are rough housing.

-She's not the best listener.  She plays in the street and sneaks over to our neighbor's house on occasion.

-She is loved by her whole family!

THe cousins created this awesome economy system in the sandbox one evening.  I love how kids of all ages can still have fun in the sandbox (from 3-13).

A really cool park/splash park opened nearby.  It's free so a million people were there.  Actually, it was pretty overwhelming on my own so I think I'll make sure Kevin is with us next time.

Camping

Our fist camping trip was probably a little too early in the season.  It probably would've been more pleasant had we been more prepared.  It got SO cold at night, and then it was pretty stifling hot mid-day.  We tried out a new area new Strawberry Reservoir.  Not sure we'd go back there again.  To be honest though, the kids are most excited about a campfire and sleeping in a tent anyway.

Last Day of School

Taryn with her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. McGill (we all love her)!  

But we are soooo ready for summer!

CORBIN TURNS 4!

We love this little boy of ours!  A few things about Corby:

-He is really good on his bike (only took him a few tries to learn)

-He's definitely all boy: he loves dinosaurs, rough housing, and dressing up like a superhero

-His siblings are his favorite playmates but he also loves playing with our neighbor Liam

-He likes to be read to and snuggle (but doesn't like soft tickles much-he's too ticklish)

-He has the BEST giggle ever

-He still is our pickiest eater :(.  His favorite foods are a plain tortilla, black beans, and junk

-He is awesome at coloring (he is very detail-oriented)

-He is always the Primary teachers favorite kid in class (he's really quiet and obedient in Primary)

-He is so loved by his family!!!

More Happenings

Little helpers

This year (and last) Taryn found a couple baby birds near our house.  Of course I don't realize this until she has them in her hands.  But I have to admit that it's pretty dang cute.

Pinewood Derby was pretty rough for Reed.  I'm not sure his car ever made it to the finish line.  The evening ended in tears and a smashed derby car.

For a couple months, the boys would end up falling asleep next to each other.  Reed often would stay up reading and then want to be near Corbin after he was asleep (I think sometimes he was just scared), so he would crawl in next to him. :) Of course my mother heart was bursting with joy, so I had to snap a couple pictures.

We got concrete poured and it was an exciting day for the kids.

It was a rough year with MJ.  Not being able to talk but knowing what you want makes for a frustrated baby.

Annette knows me well and got me giant bubbles for my birthday.  We had a lot of fun with them.
