DISNEYLAND

PART 2: Magic Kingdom
You know it's going to be a good day when you get to eat baby Cheetos for breakfast.
Mmmmm. I love this picture. Cracks me up.
So magical.
Gosh I love them. And I loved them even more in the Happiest Place on Earth. It's like they could do no wrong! Reed was actually so awesome at Disneyland--just happy wherever he was--in lines, on rides, walking around, etc. Love that Frog!

"It's a Small World" was a favorite for all of us.
Me and my favorite little boy.
Kiddos
Toon Town was both Reed and Taryn's favorite part of Disneyland, hands down. When we were walking into Toon Town, Reed thought it was Candyland. It was perfect, because they had a bunch of play areas, pretend cars to drive, and fountains to look at, and Reed even went on a small rollercoaster--Kevin went with him but Reed even tried to argue going by himself! Who knew he could be so brave??

Another one of Reed's favorites.

and Mommy. Taryn stayed with Grandma and ate another churro.
Reed climbed into the stroller about 6:30pm and said he was going to take a nap. Like I said, Reed was so awesome. He fell asleep and we decided not to wake him up until the fireworks that night. It actually worked out great, because Kevin stayed with the kids while I took my mom on a few rides, namely Indiana Jones (which she screamed like a little girl the entire ride--so funny!) and Pirates of the Caribbean. Kevin were able to go on 3-4 "grown-up" rides as well during the trip. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of that.

Notice how Reed is still sleeping and Taryn is wide awake? Taryn took a 30 min. power nap a little after Reed fell asleep and then she was up until we got in the car around 9:30pm or so (that's 10:30 our time, folks!). This girl is going to be trouble, I tell you.
Taryn loved the fireworks! She kept signing for "More." Very cute.
Reed didn't like the fireworks as much. Could be the fact that we woke him up from a dead sleep to see them. Overall, such a FUN trip! WE LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!
And just for fun, the ride home. :)

DISNEYLAND

PART 1: California Adventure A couple weeks ago, we found out that Kevin got a new job (one he had started interviewing with back before Christmas). We were excited and started talking about Disneyland, something we had debated doing several months ago. So we "pulled a Cassidy" (you like that Cass? ;)--she's my fun and spontaneous friend) and decided to leave about 1.5 days later. That's spontaneous enough for me. ;) Cass would decide, pack, and jump on a plane within 2 hours. No joke. We invited my mom with us--she had never been to Disneyland--and didn't tell Reed where we were going until we entered the park...
The Drive: Lots of smiles the first 5 hours. Then the demon inside of Taryn emerged...and no one wanted to take pictures of that. Poor girl kind of resembles Chris Farley in this picture.
Reed saw the castle and knew right away we were at Disneyland. We have pictures of when we went to Disneyworld up in our kitchen, so he sees it and we talk about it a lot. He was pretty excited.
"Action figures". We dressed Taryn in her Halloween Minnie skirt. So dang cute. Many a people commented on her cuteness...and her chubbiness, okay, okay, but isn't that the same thing?
Just missed out on Cars land, bummer! But we still got to see Lightning and Mater.
This girl was much more timid on rides than I thought she would be.
My 2 favorite boys. Kevin and I basically fought over who would be with Reed on rides. Throw Grandma in there too and you really had to bust out the big guns.
Taryn's favorite part was probably this slide. Could've just taken her to the park.
And the churros. Could've taken her to Costco. The weather got kind of chilly and rainy in the afternoon. We spent the first day in California Adventure and we had done everything we wanted to do by the early afternoon, so it worked out well. We went to a few shows when the weather was crummy and it kept the crowds away. We did end up leaving by about 6pm because we were too cheap to buy ponchos and kiddos were getting cold and hungry.
Bumper cars!
Our escape artist.
Had to get a Grandma shot. Reed was already "Grandma's sweetheart" and after the trip, she won over Taryn as well (which is hard to do).
Toy Story Mania = best ride ever!
Waiting for Aladdin to start. Those are some cold and tired kids.
Kevin held Taryn throughout the show but about halfway through, Reed climbed into his lap too. They love their Daddy!
Grandma and Taryn
This girl fought sleep like there was no tomorrow. We even tried to keep her awake long enough to get to the restaurant, but she was beat! Fighting it...
Gonners.
