Catch Up: Vacation

(*A couple days before we arrived in MN, we found out that the state basically shut down. All our plans of renting a boat, water skiing, etc. were out the window. We had to make our own fun...)


Lots of sand play


Reed thought he wanted to swim in the lake when he saw his older cousins doing it. It took less than one second to realize he hates to swim.


Tiniest-parade-in-the-world-watching. However, we got water balloons thrown at us and a array of dogs in costumes. Very creative.


More sand. They had a cute little beach area next to a lake that we spent most of our time at.


Kevin's older sisters had a few minutes with Taryn and this is what happens! :) Pigtails!


Short canoe trip. I was just happy we got Reed to go in it at all.

Dirty Dash 2011

Kevin and I ran the Dirty Dash 5K a couple months ago and it was a blast! We ran it with some friends from the ward. I have to post things like this so I can remind myself that I still have fun!

It was so fun running with Kevin! (It doesn't happen very often). :)


We had to climb over walls, climb through tubes, run through tires, etc. SO FUN!

Reed: "I have poop in my toesies...it goes up my legs and out my butt."


Reed: "Baby Girl has a cute butt. You [Mommy] have a BIG butt."


Reed: "Kevin. Kevin Daddy."
Kevin: "I'm not answering unless you call me Daddy."
Reed: "Rhiannon."
Kevin: "You need to call Mommy, Mommy."
Reed: "Mommy?"
Rhiannon: "Yes, Bud?"
Reed: "Kevin's in a bad mood."

Brotherly Love

Ever since Taryn joined our family, Reed has been in love with her. I really have not had to worry about sibling jealousy as of yet; in fact, it's quite the opposite. Whenever she is around, Reed wants to be around her. I have to worry more about him smothering her with hugs (seriously, it was a concern when she was really little though she can hold her own a bit more now). She doesn't always have the same feelings in return, but she certainly loves her brother. Reed always wants to help give her a bink, change her diaper, make her laugh and smile, etc...










...but I wasn't expecting him to feed her. (Notice the boppy and lifting of the shirt). :)
