I saw this idea in someone's home and tried to replicate it. I like how it turned out, but the tile weighs a billion pounds, so I don't know where to put it now.
I like it--it makes a powerful statement. Bruce and I have a doormat that has a part of it cut out and replaced with a tile that has vinyl lettering on it. I'm not sure that would work for you, but that's an idea. His realtors did the vinyl tile thing for a gift--I would never, EVER, pick someone else to do my vinyling! How well does vinyl stand up to foot traffic? We want to replace the message on the tile with something cooler.
